What will I eat?

The Food Service Department at The Bancroft Leadership Centre exemplifies "Excellence". In the interest of providing meals that are both nutritional and child focused, our full service dining hall offers a menu that boasts of variety and detail for our hungry campers. Three meals are served each day with an evening snack before bed every night.

 

A typical breakfast consists of two courses, a cold course and a

hot course and is served "family style" (the entire camp sits down

together) followed by our morning announcements where we

review the day ahead. Meals we often have for our hot course

at breakfast are:

  • Scrambled Eggs and Bacon

  • Pancakes and Yogurt

  • Fried Eggs and English Muffins

  • Belgin Waffles and Strawberries

  • BLT's on a Bagel

Lunch is served "buffet style" and runs between 12pm and 12:45pm. Cabins come down to the dining hall together and enter once their full cabin is there.

Some of the buffet meals that we serve include:

  • Make your own Sandwiches/Wraps

  • Taco's

  • Chicken Caesar Salad

  • Chicken Burgers and French Fries

  • Perogies and Greek Salad

  • Grilled Cheese Sandwiches

Dinner is served at 5:15pm and offers a full meal family style

once again, and finishes with a desert followed by evening

announcements.Typical meals at supper include:

  • Spaghetti and meat sauce, Cesar salad and Garlic Bread

  • Ribs, Corn and Salad

  • Chicken and Mashed Potatoes

  • Roast Beef, Mixed Vegetables and Salad

  • Chicken Stir Fry

  • Chili in a bread bowl

With special focus on ensuring any child can attend camp, we strive to cater to many special diets. Our Wellness Director assists with the preparation of special diets and works with each child's counselor to ensure that campers with dietary needs are supported fully while at camp.

In addition to special diets, we are also allergy conscious. As a result, Can Aqua is proud to boast of our nut - sensitive site.

We encourage anyone interested to please inquire about any other dietary restrictions or allergies.  With parental help, we can accommodate almost any special diet.
